Ver.di: Il nuovo "Sindacato Unito dei Lavoratori dei Servizi" è stato fondato il 21 Marzo 2001, con l'unione dei cinque sindacati fondatori: DAG (impiegati), DPG (impiegati postali), HBV (bancari e assicurativi) IG MEDIEN (lavoratoria dei media) ÖTV (servizi pubblici e trasporti). E' la più grande confederazione europea; nel solo settore del Credito riunisce oltre 600.000 iscritti. Ha un ruolo determinante nei settori emergenti della nuova economia e svolge un ruolo di indirizo e formazione anche verso le nuove realtà socio economiche in rapido sviluppo dell'est Europa.

Ver.di: The new "United Service Industry Workers Trade Union" was founded on the 21st of March 2001, with the unification of the 5 founding trade unions: DAG (employees), DPG (postal employees), HBV (bank and insurance employees) IG MEDIEN (media employees) ÖTV (public services and transports). It is the biggest European confederation; in the banking sector alone it has more than 600,000 members. It has a decisive role to play in the emerging sectors of the new economy and also carries out a role of orientation and training with the new social economic realities undergoing rapid development in Eastern Europe.
