By "connectivity" we mean all that makes it possible to connect two or more workstations and transfer data between them independently of their physical locations. It is evident that in the case of telework it is indispensable to be able to communicate and exchange data of all kinds with the telework center and/or with other users. The tools available for use from a permanent workstation are numerous and continually evolving. Currently, almost all connections are over the Internet ("the web"), since other types of networks, like Itapac, bbs, etc., have become obsolete and are now used only in special cases. The current connectivity panorama is highly complex and variegated, but the major difference among the different types of Internet connections now available is the quantity of data they permit transferring per unit time (bandwidth).
